Minecraft Review
Minecraft is an open-world crafting simulator by Mojang and Microsoft. In this exciting game, you are free to create large online worlds using blocks and your unrestricted imagination. The whole game is made of blocks with different physical properties and textures, which lets you build and destroy anything that comes into your head. Moreover, you can do it together with your friends.
Game Details
Minecraft gameplay is diverse and very flexible. Here you can set your own rules and create something that you always wanted to see in a video game. The game features 2 main modes – the creative and the survival. The first mode lets you enter a randomly generated world with all types of terrains and have fun rebuilding it to implement your craziest engineering and architectural concepts. The creative mode provides you with the entire set of materials, items, and weapons, which lets you change the environment fast and secure.
The survival mode is much more challenging. Here you can also generate a unique map, but it won’t be so easy to change the world around. You always have to look around to avoid being killed by animals and monsters who inhabit the whole map and protect their territory. Besides, you have to struggle against weather conditions and a day-night cycle that changes the difficulty level each time the sun hides behind the horizon.
If you want to survive and progress, you have to mine for materials and use them to craft weapons, foods, living and defensive structures. You can explore the world in any direction and discover new stuff endlessly. If you’re a social player, you can create a server to play each mode with your friends or join ready-made servers and play with people from all over the world.
Graphics
It’s hard to call Minecraft a graphically advanced game. It’s a unique one anyway. The entire game consists of large blocks with different physical properties. The cool thing is that you can destroy everything you see and use the mined materials to build something new or craft items using different blocks. The basic version of the game has simplified lighting and shadows, but the latest update for PC lets you enable the brand new ray-tracing technology to make it look much more realistic. You really have to try it to see the real beauty of the blocky world and make it much more immersive.
Platforms
Minecraft is a multi-platform multiplayer game. You can buy it for iOS, Android, PC, Mac, Linux, Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and many more previous-gen platforms. However, it’s recommended to play on the freshest devices to have an opportunity to join online servers and receive new updates from Microsoft.
